学院简介

矿业工程学院始于1909年焦作路矿学堂的矿务学门,已有百年办学历史。1933年正式成立采矿冶金系,1952年将清华大学、北洋大学(天津大学)、唐山铁道学院等院校采矿系并入中国矿业学院采矿系。2000年撤系建院,成立能源科学与工程学院,2007年更名为矿业工程学院。

学院现有教职工153位,其中两院院士3名(含外聘)、教授46名,省部级以上人才称号获得者40余名。设立采矿工程、新能源科学与工程、智能采矿工程、工业工程及交通运输5个本科专业。目前,在校生规模为2242人,本科生1196人(含留学生61人);硕士生697人,博士349人(含留学生56人)。办学至今先后为国家和社会输送万余名毕业生。

学院设有矿业工程博士后科研流动站,拥有一级学科博士点1个、二级学科博士点2个、交叉学科博士点2个、专业学位博士点1个,一级学科硕士点1个、二级学科硕士点3个、交叉学科硕士点2个、专业学位硕士点3个。依托学科建有煤炭资源与安全开采国家重点实验室、矿山固废处置与利用学科创新引智基地、矿业工程国家级实验教学示范中心和采矿工程国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心等4个国家级教学科研平台,以及深部煤炭资源开采教育部重点实验室、江苏省矿山地震监测工程实验室、采矿工程专业教育部虚拟教研室和江苏省矿业工程虚拟仿真实验教学平台等4个省部级教学科研平台。矿业工程学科是国家“211工程”、“985工程优势学科创新平台”和“世界一流学科建设”的重点建设学科,在全国学科排名第一,世界大学学科排名位列前20。

2010年以来,学院共承担国家级科研项目121项,省部级科研项目174项,企业重大科技攻关项目5000余项;研究成果获得国家级科技奖励5项、省部级科技奖励153项、授权国内国外发明专利855件。学院与能源矿业科研院所和大型煤炭基地企业保持着良好的合作关系,与美国、英国、澳大利亚、加拿大和俄罗斯等国外高校和研究机构建立了稳定的学术交流和科研合作机制。

展望未来,学院紧扣立德树人根本任务,践行“固本强优拓新”发展理念,坚持能源资源绿色智能开发为特色,加强地热等新能源领域创新研究,发挥一流学科的牵引作用,带动交叉融合学科达到一流学科水平,早日建设成矿业工程领域世界一流的学院。


The School of Mines has a history of over 100 years, stemming from the mining department of Jiaozuo School of Railroad and Mines founded in 1909. The Department of Mining and Metallurgy was officially established in 1933. After a nationwide readjustment of high-learning institutions in 1952, the Mining Engineering Departments of such universities as Tsinghua University, Beiyang University (the predecessor of Tianjin University), and Tangshan Railroad University have been emerged into the Mining Department of China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), known as China Institute of Mining and Technology (CIMT) at that time. Since then, the Department has rapidly evolved into a mining-oriented educational pattern and set her dominant status in the mining field. She was upgraded to the School of Energy Science and Engineering in 2000 and was renamed the School of Mines in 2007.

The School of Mines now has 153 full-time faculty and staff, including 3 academicians (2 are from other research institutes), 46 professors, and over 40 talents with honored titles at or above provincial level. There are 5 undergraduate majors--Mining Engineering, New Energy Science and Engineering, Intelligent Mining, Industrial Engineering, and Transportation. The present number of students in the School is 2242: 1196 undergraduates (including 61 international students) and 1046 postgraduates (697 masters and 349 doctoral students, with 56 international postgraduates included). Over the past 113 years, more than 10,000 graduates have been put into all sections of our economy, most of whom have grown into the backbone of their respective professions.

There are 1 Mining-Engineering postdoctoral scientific research mobile station, 6 doctoral degree authorization centers (1 for first-level discipline, 2 for second-level discipline, 2 for interdiscipline, and 1 for professional degree), and 9 master degree authorization centers (1 for first-level discipline, 3 for second-level discipline, 2 for interdiscipline and 3 for professional degree).4 national teaching and research platforms are built on the base of Mining Engineering discipline: State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources & Safe Mining, Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Discipline Innovation in Resource Utilization and Disposal of Solid Waste in Mines, National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Mining Engineering, and National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center of Mining Engineering. So do the 4 provincial (ministerial) teaching and research platforms, like Education Ministry Key Laboratory of Deep Coal Resources Mining, Jiangsu Engineering Laboratory of Mine Earthquake Monitoring and Prevention, Education Ministry Virtual Teaching and Research Section of Mining Engineering, and Jiangsu Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Platform of Mining Engineering. Mining Engineering is one of the key disciplines listed in the national “211 Project”, “985 Innovation Platform for Advantageous Disciplines”, and national “World-Class Discipline Construction Project”. The discipline in 2021 ranked in the top 20 of QS discipline evaluation and No. 1 in China.

Since 2010, the School of Mines has undertaken 121 national major research projects, 174provincial (ministerial)major research projects, and over 5000 college-enterprise S&T projects, and earned a host of science and technology awards like 5 at a national level and 153 at aprovincial (ministerial) level, as well as 855 domestically and overseas authorized invention patents. The School of Mines has held a close partnership with domestic research institutes in the field of energy and mining and with all large coal enterprises in China, and also developed a stable academic communication and research mechanism with overseas universities and research institutes of more than 20 countries from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada to Russia.

In the foreseeable future, the School of Mines will forge ahead. Featured by green and intelligent development of energy resources, the School of Mines will strengthen the research on new energy like Geothermal to play the leading role of Mining Engineering as a first-class discipline and help the interdisciplines develop into first-class ones and build the school of Mines into a world-class school in the field of mining engineering in the future.
