On March 13, Professor Axel Preusse from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and his delegation visited our School for exchange and cooperation discussions. The meeting was held in Room A509 of the School of Mines, chaired by Dean Yanli Huang.

Dean Yanli Huang extended a warm welcome to the three professors from RWTH Aachen University, introducing our School's development history, research directions, talent pool, student cultivation, and representative innovative achievements. Professors Axel Preusse, Holger Schuttrumpf, and Peter A. Kukla presented RWTH Aachen University's development history, organizational structure, leading disciplines, and research accomplishments in mining and water resources conservation. Subsequently, faculty members engaged in in-depth discussions on scientific collaboration, joint platform development, and student exchange programs, laying solid groundwork for future cooperation.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the University's International Cooperation and Exchange Office, faculty from the School of Environment Science and Spatial Informatics, as well as Vice Dean Yong Yuan and faculty representatives from the Department of Mining Engineering and Department of New Energy Science and Engineering of our School.
