The School of Mines now has 153 full-time faculty and staff, including 3 academicians (2 from other research institutes and colleges), 46 professors, 49 associate professors, and 132 academic faculty. 93.19% of the academic faculty get a Ph.D degree, 35.60% have more than one year of overseas academic experience, and 31.06% have an academic background outside CUMT. 16 talents earned the national awards and honorary title as National Major Talent Project (Youth),National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Program, National Advanced Worker, and China Youth Science and Technology Award. 26 experts have the special government allowances of the State Council. 3 experts were selected for theNational Innovative Talent Promotion Planby the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 11 for New Century Excellent Talent Support Plan by Education Ministry. 1 innovation team was approved by the Ministry of Education. 26 experts were selected for the 333 high-level talent training project in Jiangsu Province. 7 experts were selected for the six major talent peak cultivating objects in Jiangsu Province. 20 experts were selected for the Jiangsu Blue Project, and 2 were selected for young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Jiangsu. 2 were awarded the title of Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Jiangsu Province, 3 were awarded as Jiangsu University Teaching Famous Teachers, 2 were awarded as Distinguished Professors in Jiangsu Province, 1 was awarded by Jiangsu Outstanding Youth Fund, and 1 was awarded by Jiangsu Outstanding Youth Fund; 8 were awarded the Sun Yueqi Youth Science and Technology Award.
