International Delegation Visiting National Demonstration Center for Experimental Mining Engineering Education
On the morning of April 22, 2024, President Toregan Mukhtar of East Kazakhstan Technical University and his delegation visited our school for exchange. They were accompanied by Xiaoguang Han, Vice President of Haier Haiyongshun Industrial Group, and Fujie Han, General Manager of Inspur Yunzhou Yangtze River Delta Center, leading their respective teams.
President Mukhtar's delegation first visited the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Mining Engineering Education. Wenjing Ma, Head of Experimental Teaching, along with faculty representatives, introduced the school's achievements in experimental teaching, particularly in virtual experimental education. Subsequently, an exchange symposium was held in Room A509, attended by Dean Yanli Huang, Director Lei Zhang of the International Affairs Office, and faculty representatives. The symposium was chaired by Dean Huang.
Dean Yanli Huang extended a warm welcome to President Mukhtar, highlighting the school's development history, faculty strength, talent cultivation, and scientific research. She proposed initiatives for teaching and research collaboration between the two universities. President Mukhtar introduced East Kazakhstan Technical University's student-faculty scale, educational programs, experimental facilities, and international partnerships. Both universities and enterprises then engaged in in-depth discussions on exporting advanced educational resources and mining technologies, as well as international research collaborations. All parties agreed to pursue concrete "industry-university-research-application" cooperation in relevant fields.
This exchange has laid a solid foundation for advancing the school's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and establishing new heights in international mining cooperation. It holds significant implications for promoting top-tier mining talents and cutting-edge mining technologies to contribute globally.
