On March 27, 2024, Elsevier released the 2023 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list. Seven professors from the Mining Engineering discipline at our university were selected, including four from our School: Professors Jixiong Zhang, Linming Dou, Jialin Xu, and Dan Ma.

The 2023 list features 5,801 scholars from 496 institutions including universities, enterprises, and research organizations, encompassing 10 disciplinary fields and 84 first-level disciplines as classified by the Ministry of Education. The inclusion of these seven scholars vividly demonstrates the global academic influence of our university's Mining Engineering discipline. This recognition brings more outstanding scholars with distinctive mining research strengths into the global spotlight, significantly enhancing the international reputation of both the university and the discipline.
