Biography

       Yanli Huang, male, Han ethnicity, was born in August 1982 in Yishui, Shandong Province, P.R. China. He is a CPC member, holds a Doctor of Engineering degree, and is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at China University of Mining and Technology. He currently serves as Dean of the School of Mines, CUMT.

       Prof. Huang joined the Communist Party of China in March 2005. He was awarded his Doctor of Engineering degree from China University of Mining and Technology in December 2012 and started his professional career in the same month. From December 2015 to December 2016, he worked as a visiting scholar at Virginia Tech, USA.

       From October 2020 to August 2023, he served as Dean of the School of Mining Engineering and Geology, Xinjiang Institute of Engineering, as a member of the 10th Central Government-Aided Xinjiang Cadre Program. Between November 2021 and December 2023, he held concurrent posts as Executive Deputy Director of the Western Energy Research Institute and Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Science and Technology at CUMT. Since December 2023, he has been appointed Dean of the School of Mines, China University of Mining and Technology.

Research Interests

●  His research focuses on:

●  Backfill mining and water-preserved mining

●  Ecologically protective mining

●  Disposal and high-value utilization of mine solid waste

●  Strata control and rock support in deep mining

●  Green low-carbon exploitation of deep mineral resources

Academic Projects & Achievements

       Prof. Huang has presided over more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial research projects, including national major talent engineering programs, Excellent Youth Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and key provincial talent projects.

       He received the Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award and four first prizes of provincial/ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards. He has obtained over 40 authorized national invention patents. He has published 2 academic monographs and compiled 1 textbook. Eight national and industrial standards were formulated under his leadership. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed journal papers, among which four EI-indexed papers were selected into the F5000 Outstanding Chinese Scientific Papers. His publications have been cited over 2100 times, with an H-index of 27.
